This quote is so true. We do not head into sin at a sprint... it is conceived in our minds and then our heart lusts after it and then the sin is indulged. It is a slow process that can be stopped. We can hold every thought captive, we can think on the things of God, we can pray and ask God to stop our sinful desires. So often we allow it to sneak in and pull us down, slowly, but surely.
Praise God... that no matter how deep we feel stuck in our sin, no matter where we are on the spiral downward (if we are), we can look up and ask HIM to forgive us and to cleanse us through the blood of HIS son, Jesus Christ. The confession and forgiveness of sin can be instantaneous. HE washes our sins away and makes us white as snow. Oh how the white snow can reflect HIS light!
