Galations 6:7-9 NIV Bible

Galations 6:7-9 (NIV Bible)

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

In pondering the above verse, I realize that I am reaping what I have sown for the past several years. Some good, some bad, but it gets me thinking. What if I lived every moment to please the Spirit of God? How would that look in my life and how would that change what I do in life... why I do things? I can only imagine the joy and blessings it would bring. I am not saying trials would still not come, but I am realizing that I would view the trials differently and also, give them over as quickly as possible to the Lord, instead of caring them so long by myself. For the fruit of the Spirit...

Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV Bible)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
